Obituary	Darlene Phillips, age 46, of Andrews, NC passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her home. She was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of John Frank Nichols Jr. and the late Doris Louise Stewart Nichols. Darlene was a Registered Nurse. She loved the beach and helping others. She was a member the McClelland Cove Baptist Church in Andrews, NC. In addition to her father she is survived by her husband, Larry Phillips; her son, Chris Bateman; her brother, Johnny Nichols of Murphy, NC; sister Frankie Roper of Murphy,NC and grandson Spencer Bateman. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Townson Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC.
