Lewis G. Moore

He was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the son of the late Elmer and Maudie Hyatt Moore. Lewis was a self-employed auto body mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, Tri-County racing and NASCAR. Lewis was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Cline Moore who passed away in 2002; two brothers, Richard and Fred Moore and three sisters, Thelma Jones, Mary Powell and Lenna Sutton.

He is survived by his nieces, Mildred Jones of Murphy and Lisa Rodriguez and Janie Jones both of Andrews; nephews Michael Jones of Raleigh, NC and Johnny Jones of Andrews and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Brian Sutton will officiate. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers, Nathaniel Jones, Darrick Jones, Lionel Jones, Frank Jones, Juan Rodriguez and JR Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Jones and Chris Jones.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen VA, 23060.
