Ada Mae Taylor

She was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late William Luther and Verdie Walls White. She was a substitute teacher for Head Start. Ada loved to fish and was a member of the Culberson Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Richard Neal Taylor; one brother, Arthur White; brothers-in-law, Charlie Taylor and Adam Taylor and sister-in-law, Lois Green.

She is survived by two sons, Scott Taylor of Monroe, NC and Doug Taylor of Murphy, NC; three daughters, Rhonda Taylor of Murphy, Bianca White of the home and Wendy Safreed of Canton, OH; three brothers, Dee White and his wife, Emma of Andrews, Oliver White of Andrews and Garland White of Marble; brother-in-law, Ralph and his wife, Barbara of Candler, NC; sisters-in-law, Lavern and her husband, George Harris of Lumberton, NC, Iva Lee Duncan of Murphy, Enia Walls of Andrews, Eva Bartlett of Florida, and Janet Taylor of Howell, MI; one grandchild, Robert Taylor, several nieces and nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Jim Gray will officiate. Burial will be in the Notla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Notla Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 294 Notla Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
