Anna Belle Morgan Baker

Anna Bell was born on August 23, 1923. She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC; she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Dora Jane Deavers Morgan. She had work for the Forest Service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Anna Bell enjoyed canning and flower gardening.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Baker in March 2002 and four brothers, Marion Morgan, Paul Morgan, Cecil Morgan and Walter Morgan.

She is survived by four daughters, Dora Belle Taylor and husband, David of Marble, Patricia Clayton and husband, Jackie, Elaine Dockery all of Murphy, NC and Beatrice Whitener of Hendersonville, NC; three sons, Edward Baker and wife, Faye, Roger Baker and wife, Judy and Mike Baker and wife, Barbara all of Murphy; one sister, Ruth Baker and husband, Lloyd of Murphy; 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Chapel in Murphy with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Murphy. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Baker, Mark Ferguson, Travis Lovingood, Jonathan Lovingood, Darin Dockery and Larry Dockery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
