Needle Felting Class at Yarn Circle
Kay Patterson will be teaching a unique needle felting class
at Yarn Circle on Saturday November 13.
The class is call “Needle Felted Characters” and will focus on using wool materials and small, barbed needles to do character, or doll, parts and features.
“This class is perfect for beginners as well as more experienced needle felters who have been developing their skills at creating colorful characters and their component parts,” observed Martha Owen from Yarn Circle. “Kay does a great job in these classes.”
One of Kay’s beautiful characters is currently on display
at the store for those who are curious about needle felting and would like
to see her work.
Needle felting has gained in popularity in recent years and, for example, has been featured on Martha Stewart and other craft shows.
Kay is a frequent instructor at the John C. Campbell Folk School and has done a number of classes for Yarn Circle over the years.
The class will run from 9 am to noon. To register or for more information call the store at 828-835-4592 or email yarncircle@brmemc.net.
Yarn Circle is located in Indigo Hills at 4400 East US 64, Alternate, east of Murphy and next to Tri-County Community College.
