ASHLEY L. HAWKINS

Ashley L. Hawkins, 17, of Andrews died Friday, July 16, 2010 in a Buncombe County hospital. She was a native of St. Augustine, FL, but had lived in Andrews most of her life.

She was the daughter of Joy Ann Dockery of Andrews and Lucky Hawkins of Andrews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Emery and Bertha Hawkins.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, April Ann Hawkins and Christina Leigh Presley both of Andrews;  a step-sister, Skylar Smith of St. Louis, MO;  a half-brother, Spencer Smith of St. Louis;  the maternal grandparents, Buzz and Sue Mueller of Andrews;  and a fiancé, Chad Phillips of Robbinsville.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 20 in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Rev. Daniel Stewart officiating. Interment was in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl and Bo Mueller, Robert Hathcock, Steve Clark, Chad Phillips, and Michael Creasman.

The family  received friends from 12:00-1:45 Tuesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
