Donations of Love

Girl Scouts making a difference

Aspen Fine and Isabella Richter, both Girl Scouts from Troop 30201 again would like thank the community for the donations to support their project “It takes a Village”.   The girls would like to give a special thanks to Doug and Marie Taylor of Doug Taylor Electric, Mary St. Pierre of St. Pierre’s Pottery and Cliff Fine of Fine Built Construction for their generous “in-kind” donations.

The girls were able to make the second donation drop off of baby items to Director, Suzie Cantrell on behalf of the Women’s Enrichment Center located in Andrews, NC. The Women’s Enrichment Center offers free, private, and confidential volunteer counseling for all women who are facing tough choices. If you just need an ear to hear, along with a shoulder to lean on, we are here for you. If your needs are greater, then we offer pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and educational classes.  No matter what your situation may involve, we will respect you, and treat you with kindness and compassion, as we offer our support, and answer your questions about the choices you have. They are a non-profit service and operate solely from donations and volunteers.  In these economic times, unfortunately, the needs are great!  You can continue to support their project to assist the Friendship House, Women’s Enrichment Center and Food Pantry by donating baby formula, baby food, diapers, especially newborn and large sizes, wipes, baby care products, sippy cups, household cleaning supplies, soap, shampoo and conditioner and deodorant at the following donation centers:
