Letter to the Editor: ” Name Withheld”
Letter to the Editor: ” Name Withheld”
While I agree wholeheartedly with the letter to the editor about “Sentinel news coverage improving”, the adjacent letter “What would Ehrhart do differently as sheriff” seems to be a major blip in the improvements that I hope will lead to a correction and apology.
As a friend of both Jake Ehrhart and Joe Shook, I am never going to take any position regarding the qualifications of either as sheriff. But I was shocked that the Sentinel would publish a letter to the editor from “Name withheld”. Was this an error, or an indication of a new policy? I thought it was a long-standing tradition of newspapers that anonymous letters would not be published. If you have something to say, you should be willing to indicate who you are. I think it would be a sad day for the Sentinel if it allowed “Name withheld” letters as a matter of policy.
