Johnny R. Ledford

Johnny R. Ledford, 66, of Martin, GA, formerly of Hayesville, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009. He was a native of Clay County, but had lived in Stephens County, GA for the past 20 years. He was a small engine repairman and had worked in the poultry industry. Johnny was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late William Paul and Rose Mary Pendergrass Ledford.

Surviving are six daughters, Rose Jones of Martin, Angie Cofer of Bethlehem, GA, Cinda Ledford of Monroe, GA, and Tammy Grier, Connie Gee, and Margaret Ledford all of Gainesville, GA; a son, Jimmy Ledford of Gainesville; two sisters, Willa Mae Mashburn of Hayesville and Betty Jean Cox of Adairsville, GA; a brother, Clyde Ledford of Hayesville; and 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 16 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Dennis Dodge officiating. Interment will be in the Union Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Jones, Greg Cofer, Danek Jones, Gregory Cofer, James Ramey, Geoff Johnston, and Kole Jones.

The family received friends from 12-1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.
